Operation Sceptre: Force supports national knife crime campaign |
||
|
This week the force is taking part in Operation Sceptre. This is a national initiative aimed at reducing knife crime across the country. Over the last few weeks we’ve been working with local teenagers to develop a new campaign aimed at tackling knife crime. Here’s a first look at our new campaign, please let us know what you thing. Its aim is to get people to think ff the potential implications of someone carrying a knife, and reporting their concerns about a friend, relative or anyone else they know carrying a knife. We will be promoting this campaign via the channels most relevant to the young audiences we need to reach. One report could save a life. If you have concerns around someone carrying a knife, please do the right thing and report it. You can report it to us directly to us at https://tinyurl.com/WarksKnifeReport or by calling 101. We promise to protect your identity. You can also report anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers through their Fearless initiative https://crimestoppers-uk.org/fearless/more-info/crime-types-explained/knife-crime
